Miracles, Baptisms, and Pizza
Hi hey hey everyone

Well everyone, its been an exciting week. MANY miracles. 🗿
Im gonna start with tuesday. On tuesday, my district was about to have a little meeting at the church, but outside we hear the loudest crash ever. Everyone ran outside to see a wreck where one of the cars had fully flipped, and we ran to see if everyone was okay. Thankfully, they had all worn their seatbelts. The MOST anyone got hurt was a little cut to the cheek. It couldve ended really bad but the most that happened to these people was their wrecked car.
Also, MARI AND RODOLFO, two siblings we had been teaching, quit all their smoking and got baptized! So many things tried to get in the way of this too, but we could see the Lords hand helping us. A day before his baptism, Rodolfo got sick, with a fever and everything. Me and Elder Wilson gave him a blessing and he was completely fine. Ive never seen a blessing work so quickly. The day of their baptism too, it was raining and thundering way way way too much. Me and Elder Wilson hit a quick prayer and the rain stopped immediately after, and it didnt rain again until they had been baptized. Its like the Lord allocated this specific time for Mari and Rodolfo. MIRACLES people.
I had been struggling to have faith this week. We would schedule lessons, and then we would show up and they wouldnt be home. We had a day where every single person we were supposed to teach or stop by ghosted us, and they werent home, and it happened so much this week. I remember I would always think about how faith can move mountains, but I didnt think I would ever see something like that happen. This time, faith stopped the weather for Mari and Rodolfos baptism. Faith cured Rodolfo of his sudden sickness. The Lord will cause great things to happen for a righteous cause. Now I will always remember to lead with faith. Because even with a little faith, miracles can happen.
Anyways, heres the statz for the week
HIGHS:
1. I BAPTIZED FOR THE FIRST TIME. It feels really good to have a part in something so huge. We brought the Holy Spirit into the lives of people and its so good to think about how much they can use that gift.
2. I saw a capybara!!! Apparently they are incredibly hard to see here, (even though Curitiba is capybara city) but one single capybara snuck into this lake we live close to, and hes there every day now.
3. Im gonna get fat these members feed the Elders so good like i get sleepy after every single meal and its hard to get back to work because its like the food was so good it punched me in the face. The hardest part of the day is probably after lunch.
LOWS:
1. Trying to give a good lesson here is hard. (I dont even think ive had one yet) Nobody seems really interested in what we have to say, they just look at our church as one of the other 10 (or 20 or 30) down the street, and have so many questions about our lives instead. I dont know how to deal with this, ill probably have to change up what we talk about that distinguishes our church from the rest. Its fine though.
2. Not sure if this is a low or a high, but im putting it as a low because it could be really bad. PIZZA EVERY NIGHT!! This week ive eaten so so so much pizza. Im downing half a pizza every night before going to bed. We're gonna run out of money, and im definitely gonna get fat. I love it and hate it. But the pizza has these chocolate filled crusts. I THINK im sick of eating pizza? But the crust is always always worth it.
I wanted to add a goals list on here, so i can keep track of what i want to accomplish and how that changes, and so can you guys
GOALS: 1. Learn Español (LOTS of hispanic people here. Mari and Rodolfo are from Cuba, teaching was hard sometimes, but they understand Portuguese too) 2. Learn to plan out a day 3. Read ALL the scriptures
Anyways thats it guys
